Learn proper gun handling and firearm safety in the comfort of your home with help from Reverend Guns Firearms Education. I offer online firearms courses in Texas designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to handle handguns confidently and responsibly. These courses will help you get your Texas license to carry (LTC). My 4-hour classes are broken down into segments so you can complete them at your own pace.
After every passed LTC course, you receive a printable certificate that you can use to locate the closest instructor and complete the shooting part of the exam. Everything is certified by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Also known as Texas Constitutional Carry, this course will teach you everything you need to know to carry a handgun in Texas without a license. Learn all the laws, restrictions and regulations that apply to carrying without a license so you can carry with confidence.
Our refresher course will help those that have a Texas License to Carry take advantage of all the new law changes in Texas. LTC holders received a lot of new benefits and protections in the last Texas legislative session. We can also carry in more places now with fewer restrictions. This course explains everything a license holder needs to know. We break down and explain all the new laws so it’s easy for everyone to understand. If you have a Texas License to carry, you will learn something new by taking our refresher course.
- Form LTC 101 – This was the document you printed after completing the Texas LTC Online Course. I must sign it before you submit your application to Texas DPS.
- A Pistol or Revolver in any caliber of your choice
- 50 rounds of ammunition for the Pistol or Revolver you will be using
- Eye Protection

Learn what it takes to save a life. U.S. LawShield recognizes that you want to become a more educated, prepared, and responsible citizen. That’s why we developed the First Aid for Gunshot Wound online training course that’s easy to understand, with no previous medical training required.
This course introduces you to battlefield first aid and tactical medicine. Understand how the body works, tools you need to save the life of a gunshot victim, how to use these tools and how to practice the steps.

This course is for anyone who carries, or has the desire to carry, personal protective sprays like pepper spray. Many who attend this course either don’t feel comfortable carrying a firearm, or desire to carry pepper spray in locations where they are not legally permitted to carry a firearm. Even if you do carry a firearm, it is strongly recommended that you carry a less than lethal defensive tool for situations where deadly force may not be justified. In short, this course was designed for anyone who has an interest in self-defense.

This course prepares gun owners for safe and lawful interactions with law enforcement while carrying a firearm. Students will learn when and how to disclose firearm possession, what information officers may request, and how to exercise their rights respectfully. Legal discussion includes “duty to inform” laws and best practices for compliance during traffic stops or investigative encounters. The course emphasizes calm communication, awareness of one’s rights, and lawful decision-making to help every encounter be safe and professional.

Participants will learn the legal requirements for transporting firearms in vehicles, aircraft, and across state lines. The course explains unloaded transport standards, locked container requirements, and how to comply with the Firearm Owners Protection Act (18 U.S.C. § 926A). Real-world examples help clarify how to remain lawful during roadside stops, hotel stays, and travel through restrictive jurisdictions. Students will finish with clear guidance on how to move firearms safely, securely, and in compliance with all relevant laws.

This course details where firearms may not lawfully be carried under federal and state law. Topics include federal facilities airport secure areas, national parks, locations covered by the Gun-Free School Zones Act, and more. Participants will learn how to identify these areas and avoid legal pitfalls that result from ignorance of the law.

This course provides a comprehensive overview of handgun ammunition, including caliber selection, cartridge components, and the relationship between ammunition choice and firearm performance. Students will learn to identify the correct ammunition for their handgun, store it properly, and understand the legal implications of using reloaded or specialty ammunition. Handgun owners will gain insight into how ammunition affects safety, reliability, and lawful use.

A well-run range depends on everyone understanding and following established safety and conduct rules. This course explains range types, personal protective equipment, range rules, lead exposure, and what to expect when visiting a range for the first time. Whether you’re visiting a public or private range, this course ensures you can train safely and courteously.

This course builds the foundation for accurate, consistent, and responsible handgun shooting. Students will study essential techniques including stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger press, and follow-through. Participants will complete the course with an understanding of how skill is supported by proper training.

In this course, students will gain an understanding of handgun types, their components and operation, and how to identify common malfunctions. Our practical instruction makes these concepts simple to understand and provides a solid foundation for responsible ownership and confident handling.

This course teaches the four Universal Firearm Safety Rules and other important rules to prevent firearm accidents and negligent discharges. Students will learn the reasoning behind each rule, as well as how to apply them in various environments. It’s an essential foundation for every responsible firearm owner.

This course explains the legal and practical steps involved in purchasing or selling a firearm. Participants will learn how federal and state laws regulate private sales, dealer transfers, buyer eligibility, and background check requirements. By the end, students will understand how to complete lawful firearm transfers while protecting themselves from potential liability.

Selecting a proper holster is essential for both safety and legal compliance. This course helps participants evaluate holster types, materials, retention levels, and carry positions for their firearm. By understanding holster function and fit, students can carry confidently and responsibly in accordance with applicable laws and best practices.

This course reviews the legal and practical standards for securely storing firearms to prevent unauthorized access. Participants will compare options such as safes, lockboxes, and firearm locks while learning best practices for home, vehicle, and travel storage. Emphasis is placed on maintaining quick access for lawful defense while ensuring safety compliance with applicable laws.
After completion of the Texas License to Carry Online Course, you will have to perform a shooting qualification with a Texas DPS certified LTC Instructor. If you would like me to do your qualification, I currently use a free outdoor shooting range in Sheffield, Texas. You will need to bring the following:

Active Military or Honorably Discharged are EXEMPT from the Proficiency Demonstration if you submit supporting documents with your application to Texas DPS with either your range scores or proof of firearms proficiency/familiarization with a rifle, long gun, or handgun. Documents must be within 10 years preceding your application for a Texas LTC. You are still required to complete an LTC class or online course.
